in Credit cards
Hi All,
A friend of mine has just had a default cleared from her credit history and as such has applied for (and received) her first 0% credit card. She is going to transfer her Store Card to this and max it out as the store card rate is extortionate.
She has more debt on other CC's and store cards. Is she better off applying now for another 0% or waiting until after xmas? She doesnt know how the default has affected her history, will CC companies not want to offer her another 0%??
Many Thanks,
Allison.

Alison,
Your friend needs to be a bit careful about making too many applications too quickly.
It also takes a bit of time for the transfer from the storecard to the credit card to be recorded.
Your friend needs to schedule out their cards and loans and prioritise paying the maximum possible from those with the highest rate of interest.
I guess one more application would not hurt, but if that is declined they should wait at least 3 months before applying again would be my suggestion.
Good luck.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
