British Gas Website - Does it ever work?

I joined BG recently on Click5 - then changed it to Click 6 and gave them my initial meter readings. I now wish to check that they have accepted them by looking at my account history on the website. I can log in perfectly well- but whenever I ask for "View Account History" I get a message saying "this application is not available, try again within specific hours". Whenever I try, with whatever browser from whatever OS, it still says the same.

I emailed them a question about this but have received no answer.

Before I start on the formal letter route, can anybody tell me whether its just me and everyone else can read their account history. Does this facility ever work?

    I use it all the time, as I submit weekly meter readings. I may be that there is maintenance being done on some part of the system which is preventing access - as its Sunday, there's a fairly good chance of this.

    The messaging system is new, and it's not an instant system. The chances are you'll get a response sometime after the next shift comes on in the call centre on Monday.

    I have been with BG on click 4 and click 5 (only just found out about click 6, will phone tomorrow) - I have NEVER been able to log onto the site si I get paper bills - they have admitted that it is their site that is the problem and the click team have told me that 'lots of people have this problem'....

    It is utterly unbelievable for an internet billing system to make this admission, but then nothing about BG would surprise me - I just wish I could get fuel cheaper elsewhere, I'd be off like a shot!
    I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.

    For the record, I sent the message a week ago and have had no reply yet but this evening, the Show Account History almost worked. - Well it did work for electricity - but told me nothing worth knowing - it continued not to work at all for gas.
