I have heard nothing but excellent reviews about the Sony KDL series. Suffice to say, I bought one. Don't forget you can price match with Dixons or other companies if you prefer their service.

Which ever one you decide on check with John Lewis - they price match and all their tv come with a 5 yr guarantee.

Do they pricematch on the internet or is it instore only as we are miles away?

I have a couple of Samsung LCD and cant fault them any reason for Sony or Toshiba?

They price match stores only but the stores can be miles apart.

I would suggest AGAINSTthe Toshiba as ive heard of problems with the screen after approx 1 years use on some models (Same goes for SHARP tvs too)

We are nearly 2 hours drive from a John Lewis so can't do their price match.

the sony only has a contrast ratio of 1800: 1

not that good. it looks like a lower end model.

i think its worth the extra £100 quid
