Landlord, building insurance and Guarantor

Paintpot thanks,
I will check out the website.
I don't remember if I guaranteed the utilities but I think there is a mention of it, for sure the utilities companies can't come after me but I think the landlord can if they stop the services there and it affects the flat's rentability. But it is a moot point anyway because she will definitely pay the bills with the rent money then come to me for the rent. I had worked out a great schedule for her where everything would be paid for and if there was a short fall I would gladly pay it. Unfortunately she is spending money on things she cannot afford and told me that she will only work if she finds a great job - waitressing is beneath her.
Your post #8 is eerily prophetic. I wish I'd listened to you, instead I listened to her joy when I told her that I was going to bring her to London. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
She really wound me up today when she told me that she leaves the heating on all night. THere is nothing I can do because if I get angry with her she will spend even more of the rent to spite me.
I wrote in this thread that she was honorable, now I'm writing that she is the worst kind of trash. If someone had helped me out of a bad situation I would sooner cut my hand off than rob them. This was my downfall, that her behaviour is alien to me - I would never do it to someone why would someone I know and care for do it to me.
The lesson I've learned is not to trust women they know how to beguile. It is second nature to most of them, not all af course.
By October I'll know what the damage will be.0
