A&L and Santander shares

hi recieved a letter from a&l santander giving me 123 shares at a value of app. £8.00 a share are these instead of the original 370 shares i already hold in a&l or as well as? i think it,s a ..standard letter gone out to a&l shareholders from santander thanks anyone

Yes, you're a very lucky boy, A+L was going down the swanee until Santander rescued it

Yes it is right because the agreement was for 1 Santander share for every 3 A&L shares. So you get 123 shares for your 369 and you will probably get a cheque for £2.70, as I did, for the odd one.

The only problem with that is on Friday they were worth £5.86 a share.:o

It will be interesting to see what happens with Santander with the Argentinian economy, to which they are exposed big time, going down the pan.

The have been on a slow and steady international build over the last 20 years and have become awesomely strong in many countries.
