tenerife ( opinions )

hi, was wondering if any of you well travelled money savers have been to costa adeje in tenerife or more importantly the hotel iberostar bouganville playa. im just after anyones opinions or feedback on the place itself and the hotel before i book the family in for a hol in july next year... good and negative ( if any ) required... thanks...

Stacks of reviews on Trip Advisor (If you click the travellers photos link - next to the pic at the top) you will find lots of holiday pics that other people have taken - I find these very useful)

Although we didnt stay in it, we did use their pool;)
Although crowded ,( it is a large hotel) the pool is split in 2 and big enough to cope, there seemed to be plenty sunbeds and they provide pool towels as you would expect from a 4*
Seems to be quite a nice hotel and a family I know were certainly happy with it

Only thing, up the hill looked a bit seedy,lap dancing bars, XXX video etc etc.
Went for a drink at a cafe bar opp hotel, table next to us were all local junkies (mix of brits+ Irish). Dont know if that was a one off or if the area is bothered with low life.

Certainly , I thought Los Christianos, was better despite Adeje having quite a few 5* hotels

The area itself is great, it's much nicer then Las Americas which is only a short cab ride away if you wanted to go there.

Theres plenty to do while in Tenerife too, Loro Parque is a must for kids, Siam Park is the new water park that I assume is open now (in Feb it wasn't) and then theres Mount Teide and even the dolphin watching out at sea.

Enjoy your time... I love it there.

If you book the bouginvilla playa you won't be dissaponted, it is a great hotel, in a fab location.

Right on the beach front, with loads of good bar and restaurants near by,

get yourself over to tripadvisor and the playa de las americas forum, and see all the good reviews on the hotel and the surrounding area.

I stayed there several years ago and it was great. Very clean, efficient, friendly staff. Good food, I think the drinks were reasonably priced tho I also spent several hours in Veronicas so I can't be too sure.
