You will find masses of helpful info here:

  • Shop til you drop! Depending on the exchange rate of course, but Singapore does have lots of great shopping. I'd also recommend the Singapore Flyer (copy of the London Eye) for great views. The night safari at the zoo is excellent, I just couldn't figure how they were keeping the animals in as they don't appear to be in cages. There are lots of half day tours if you want to get your bearings and decide what you want to go back to. The botanic gardens are nice and there are lots of museums and interesting neighbourhoods to explore. It's really easy and cheap to get around on the MRT and if you want to go over to Sentosa there's now a monorail as well as the cable car. If you go to the official tourism website here

you'll find everything you want to know. They supplied me with a free Singapore Visitors Map which was really helpful, if there's not a link just email and ask for one. Have a great time.

Get the ferry to Indonesia; get the bus to Malaysia; or get a flight to a more interesting country.

Girlfriend and I spent ten days in Singapore.
Best thing about it was that we only spent 200 pounds for the return flight with Singapore Airlines. It was during the SARS scare.

We ate a lot of chicken and rice.

Not if you like to shop its not.
    Shopping. Orchard.Suntec Raffles.Harbourfront. Bugis Junction.Singapura Plaza

Visit to Sentosa. Visit the zoo and have brekie with the monkeys. Singapore Flyer. Night Safari. plenty of info when you get there from Airport and Tourist board.Use the underground very cheap
Singapore can be very expensive so try out some of the hawkers centres for some food. good fun.China town at night as well and Clark Quay for food but can be expensive. Enjoy
  • Shop, do the night safari, make the trip to Sentosa, take a ride on the Singapore flyer and pop into Raffles. Have a potter round Little India, Chinatown and Arab Quarter too...
2p off is still 2p off!
