Hi,

Just wondered if any one has been long haul with Emirates to Singapore

Roughly how long is the flight
When do you stop off is it Dubai.

Is the food good.
Is there much space.
Is the entertainment good.

Many thanks in advance

    Cundall,

Isn`t that the very point of the site, that we share experiences and help each other

From the other many threads this person has started it would appear that the trip is all booked, I'd have thought the first two questions at least would have been obvious from the flight booking!! Oh well, it's best never to assume anything on here ;)

i only stopped for refueling at singapore enroute to brisbane with emirates, but from glasgow it was roughly 7ish hours to dubai and the same again to singapore.

the airport was huge from my memory, prices were ok too, i was too busy chasing a 2yr old trying to keep him entertained tbh.

there is a rooftop swimming pool that you can use.

    Cundall,

You are so cleaver aren`t you. I am not as worldy wise as you and athough I have the flight times there are numerous different time zones so I wasn`t sure of the exact times.

It must be wonderful to be so smart and be able to look down on everybody else. You must feel so proud when writing your comments.

    Yes i do!

I posted this because you had started so many threads and it seems like you had not used google before posting...

For the future you could search for things like:
    Emirates review
    things to do in Singapore
things to do in Koh Samui

    PS Google is your friend.

I have been to Singapore several times and have flown once with emirates. The flights were really good. The food was good, space was about average and the entertainment is fantasic - also the cabin crew on all our flights were very friendly and helpful. I will def fly with them again.
  • I flew to Bangkok (not Singapore I know but in the same general vacinity) with Emirates and I found them on a par with most big national airlines for both food and comfort. From my experiences they were not as good as BA or Virgin or my favourite airline Singapore. Immediately you will find people who will disagree with me because each flight is different and you can only judge on the flights you make.

From my point of view I was not over impressed with Dubai airport which is big and not overly efficient although very clean. We seemed to queue endlessly for little or no reason on the outward journey and our return was marred by delays (no fault of the airport) which necessitated mad dashes along miles of airport walkways to catch our flight.

Having said all that, count it as part of your holiday and enjoy it for the experience it is, and then I expect your comments will be totally different to mine.

    Have a good trip.
