Iflorist

I ordered some florist from the IFLORIST website to be delivered to Germany. I paid by debit card and the money was taken from my account. No flowers were delivered.

They have no pnone number, so I emailed them and was ignored. I sent a letter by recorded delivery, it was signed for and again ignored.

I am now out of pocket at a time I cannot afford to be and I have a very disgruntled relative who believes I forgot her birthday. I have contacted what used to be Trading Standards, they gave me a reference number but said they could not investigate? Why not - I thought that was their job?

Any ideas as to what I can do now?

Did you get your money back in the end? The same thing has just happened to me and I was curious as to how your siutation progressed.

    Thanks
  • This had just happened to me too. I ordered via iflorist.co.uk a week ago, who took the money right away (I thought they'd wait till the day of delivery, but fair enough - not such a problem).

No flowers have been delivered, and I'm pretty annoyed at having been charged and also now having missed the occasion for which they were being delivered. They can't fix the latter part, but they had better give me my money back!

kezzballs - How did this work out for you?
  • The order was for my mum's birthday during the very bad snow in February. After I had placed the order (and they had taken my money!) they emailed me to say that they could not deliver the order and could they deliver it the following day. I obviously said no as I wanted the flowers to be delivered on the day, and could my money be refunded.
They wrote back saying that the florist had made up the order and that I would not get refunded.
I wrote several times asking for a refund, and I received no email confirmation. When my credit card bill arrived and then when I saw that the money had been taken anyway I was not a happy bunny.
I wrote a further batch of emails asking for my money back and eventually I got it back in March.

It is bad that that they took the money straight away - When I booked the flowers I tried several florists and immediately they would phone me back to say they could not deliver them due to the snow, and my money was refunded immediately, but not with iflorist.

Stay away from them at all costs as you can't speak to anyone!

I hope you get sorted soon TigerTom!

I must say that I have used them about half a dozen times, and in each case the flowers arrived on time, they were well packed, and of high quality.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Thanks, kezzballs for the update.

I had ordered the flowers a week in advance, to be delivered in Germany. They took the money right away. The delivery day came and now flowers had arrived. The next day still no flowers so in the afternoon I emailed them (that I wanted a refund) and got a response that they would be delivered tomorrow, sorry for the inconvenience, and gave me a £10 off voucher.

I replied and told them the voucher was unacceptable (more flowers not being delivered isn't much use to me!), and that I no longer wanted the flowers delivered and wanted a refund. I said I'd paid for a set delivery date as that is when I needed them delivered, and being two days late and not notifying me and then I had to chase them was all not acceptable.

The next reply came later that day, and said a manager had approved my refund and I could expect to get the money back into my account in a couple of days. 2 days later, the flowers were delivered, and my money also appeared back in my account. Overall, in the end, the outcome was ok for me as I got my money back, and also the flowers were delivered.

However, there really is no excuse for the late delivery and so I really doubt I would use the service again. Stick with local florists where possible is my advice.
