Help with camcorder

First post, please be nice.
My parents are going away to visit family this christmas and are looking to buy a new camcorder. They are away for 5/6 weeks.
I need to find an idiot proof system for them...was thinking about the JVC GZ-MG330 (hdd so no need for tape/dvd) but still gives to option of buying microSD for extra storage should they need it. But then stumbled on this HD one

For about £50 less. Anyone know if it's any good, or if there's a better option than the jvc?
