Best Value Dishwasher

Ok i know this is a bit random but im looking to get a dishwasher for my mums christmas as the one she has leaves them dirtier than they went in. :snow_laug

Does anyone have any reccomendations on which one to get that will fit at least 12-14 settings and has a really good wash cycle?

Looking to spend about £200-£220 so not a huge budget.

Where would i find the best prices on these machines? Is it a case of using kelkoo etc and narrowing it down from there.

Cheers

i went for a mid range bosch, but in hindsight i should probably have gone for the lowest end one as we usually use the shortest cycle daily and the other settings very rarely. So I could have saved a bit. I used pricerunner to find it.

I bought the cheapest I could find - Beko - so far so good - had it 3 years now and no problems with it - really only use the economy wash cycye on it and everything comes out sparkling! :xmassign:

I find Pricerunner offers a far better search facility than Kelkoo. We went for a mid range Bosch and are really pleased with it.

    Happy shopping!

We used pricerunner.co.uk and we have got a lower priced Zanussi about 2 yrs ago , cost £160 . We are very happy as it is a slimline job with enough placings for a family of 4 . HTH x

I used Kelkoo. Had my new dishwasher delivered yesteday :rudolf: . Mine was the other end of the price scale though a Neff semi integrated one. I was going to get a Bosch but it was only £10 cheaper

Miele dishwashers are absolutely superb - you can hardly hear them running, they clean fabulously, have high environmental ratings, and take huge loads (even flexible/removable baskets on some models). Plus 5 year warranty if you shop in the right place, and/or can negotiate the retailer's 'optional extension' away - Miele do offer 5 years, but it is at the retailer's discretion whether to charge for it or not. Mind you, I'd quite happily take a Miele with one or two years warranty, and take a flyer on it lasting at least 5 years without repairs.

So I'd say they meet the 'best value' criteria - - - but I'm afraid, you won't get them for £200-£220, only from about double upwards.

I have a Beko, cheapest I could find. I use it at least once a day, sometimes twice. Its one year old and a couple of weeks ago it broke down. Engineer came out next day, but the part it needs had to be ordered. I've chased every week, and I am told that the part is on order. Yesterday I was told, "thats the problem with Beko, they take ages to send replacement parts".
  • Strange, whenever I've phoned Seme (Beko's parts agents) for replacement parts (3 times so far, we have a few Beko products) they've arrived next day.
