Anyone had any good offers from MBNA recently?

They phoned me last night but I was literally going out of the door at the time as I was running late so I couldn't stay and chat (negotiate) with them about anything.
I need to switch things around again as my balance transfer offer ends at the end of Jan so have to start things moving again.

Any help much appreciated.

I was just wondering exactly the same thing. We got a letter asking us to phone them with details of our existing debts and they would see if they could give us a good deal.

The last time this happened their 'good deal' was rubbish, 5.9% plus fee if I remember correctly.

We're on Egg anniversary 0% just now so it would have to be an all singing all dancing kind of deal.

The last time they phoned me with a deal I got offered 2.9% for balance transfers with a fee of max £50. Seeing as one of my cards is going to go back up from another balance transfer deal in January, if they offered me this again I would bite their hand off.

They haven't phoned me back yet...
  • In September after some haggling (started at 5%+ for only 4/5 months) MBNA offered me 1.9% for 9 months with a £50 capped handling fee for a hefty balance transfer in to my current account.

Incidently Abbey MBNA card have just sent me a 'give us a call letter' as the card has been sitting at zero balance for a few weeks. I hope to get at least the same as above or it won't really be worth my while.
  • Got a good repeat deal on Saturday. I have an MBNA master card and have just paid off a 0% for 9 months deal.

Called up to see what was on offer and was given a repeat 0% for 6 months with no BT fee if I did the BT there and then. :D

If I had wanted a SBT there would have been a 2% fee.

I'll be ringing them in the morning to try and shift £7k which is currently on an Egg anniversary 0% deal. I'll be over the moon if I'm offered what the last two posters managed to get.

My other half was offered 0% for 6 months for an SBT - 2% BT fee, capped at £50.
