American fridge freezer all round advice please

We're thinking of getting an american style fridge freezer with water/ice maker. At the moment we have an intergrated fridge one of the small kind and its next to the cooker, so to get a new fridge we'd need to rip the unit out. My questions are:-

Would it be safe next to the cooker?
Is it safe to have the water wire go behind the cooker and under units?
Do we need a plumber to fit a new pipe? We already have the usual sink tap pipes and a hot & cold pipe used for the washer and dishwasher.
If we do need plumbing work done would it be expensive?

Any help much appreciated.

    Not recommended.

    Water wire, Is this drainage?

You need to plumb the fridge in?

Does the water wire only act as a water inlet and connect to the water supply the same way as a dish washer?

We had one of these. We plumbed it in ourselves. We had to go diagonally across the kitchen, so put the pipe work in the floor. I would say it would be okay behind the cooker and units. The pipe is fairly flexible so could lay along the floor behind these things, low, away from the heat of the oven. Extension pipes/fittings are usually available from the same company. It is a very small bore pipe, so you could sleeve it in something else for extra protection.
