Honeymoon cancelled

Hi, my fiance and I had booked our honeymoon for august 2009 with Island Cruises on the Island Star ship. We had booked a 7 night cruise from Palma to Messina, Naples, Livorno, Cannes then back to Palma in a balcony cabin with a 7 night stay in a 4* hotel in C'an Picafor in Mayorca afterwards...all for £2800. Unfortunately the conpany has merged with another and they no longer have the ship, so our honeymoon now is off! They have offered us an alternative on the Island Escape but with a completely different itinerary and without a balcony . We are so upset about this as we don't have much money for our honeymoon and were looking forward to it sooo much. We are struggling to find a similar honeymoon for a similar price, the next best price we can find is over £3500. Can anyone help us please or come up with any suggestions? Many thanks.

Perhaps if you give the dates you are looking at, this will help others to help you x0

Sorry! We are wanting to go anytime between the 10 Aug 09 and the 18Aug 09. Or if the deals are better in Sept 09 any date from 13-20. thanks0

Do you want to go on a cruise - similar to what you booked before or are you open to other suggestions? A budget of £2800 would get you a pretty fantastic honeymoon in an awful lot of places in the world ;0)0

We would really love something similar to what we had booked but I realise this might not be possible at this price, so yes we are open to suggestions.0

RCI have got very similar cruises, some cheaper too! All you'd need to add on would be the flights to Venice or wherever to start!
Enjoy!
PS - & I'm sure you could find them cheaper too!:mad: :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -
I know! I'm so sorry to have wasted all your time, just found an almost identical cruise with Royal Caribbean on www.cruisethomoscook.com at a really good price and have booked it! They have some really good deals on that web site..better than thomos cook normal website...highly recommend it. I'm so happy, i've been so upset over this. Thanks again!! x x0

Excellent! Glad to hear you got it sorted - & I think you'll have a BRILLIANT time with RCI.

It's good to hear that you have found something else that you wanted ;0)0

I just came back from a 'last minute' RCI cruise around the med (Voyager of the seas). Amazing time (and only cost £460 each for a week in an inside cabin + 80 quid easyjet flights)
Best cruise line i've been on (have now done Princess and Carnival).. It'd be a 100x better than the Island star from what i've heard.0
