Gas Boiler and drains cover - any recommendations?

Hello,
We're in a new area and are struggling to get local recommendations / quotes from local tradesmen so were wondering if anyone can recommend (or tell us who to avoid) boiler and drains cover? There are a variety of issues with our current boiler / thermostat and we have had issues with our drains (within our boundary) blocking during heavy rainfall...
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Wwoo

    no matter who you get, they wont cover you for existing problems.
    BG for example will inspect your boiler/CH system and charge you for any repairs required, before they will cover you.
    very often they will condemn your boiler, and quote you for a new one.
    Get some gorm.

    That's bad news. I've been doing some reading about local firms that are corgi registered. How would I know if our system needed a "Power Flush"?

    Power-flushing is a term that is currently in vogue and is not the cure-all that many think it may be. In the same way that bleeding your radiators will not fix all heating problems, neither will power-flushing, despite the engaging faith that many householders have in trying these techniques.

    So, what boiler make, model, configuration and problems do you have? ;)

    Thanks for that EliteHeat.
    We have a Gloworm Combi Energysaver 2.
    1. Heating comes on when it shouldn't (i.e. when it's set on timed but the timer is set to off);
    2. Would stay on even though the thermostat was set very low (10ºC!);
    3. Hot water for the bath would be hot for a few seconds then go cold Although I think I've worked this one out. The water pressure upstairs is pretty high so when the tap is fully open the boiler just doesn't seem to keep up. Is this easily solved?
    4. One of the rads upstairs barely warms up - bleeding hasn't helped :confused:
    Amy ideas?
