    I never have turkey either, I find it too dry and at that price I definately won't be trying it this year!!

    sounds like they are deliberately over inflating the price so they can reduce it nearer to xmas.

    Try goose. keep a look out for those aldi and lidl e-mails should be a max of £20 for a better meat. Try it.

    I was in Lidl yesterday and they had small turkeys (about 8 lbs) for £7.49. They were £5.99 last year, so quite a price jump.
  • It not just the turkeys in Lidl that have jumped in price.. their still spring water is now 21p /litre ( 17p/litre before) and the italian ice cream i used to be able to get for £1 has now gone to 1.29 in the space of a couple of months..

    There is a turkey shortage this year, hence the higher prices.Surprisingly Waitrose seem to be cheeper that Sainsbury's and Morrisons. £24.65 for a large frozen bird.
