Are people less polite ?

Are people less polite than you remember them in your younger days, and what bugs you re: politeness. This includes (and my faves)

- not holding a door open (sorry to say this seems to be the "right" of the older person)
- answering a mobile mid convo (sorry to say this seems to be the "right" of the younger person

as well as a whole host of things that often leaves me ashamed of my mates, including, not saying please, not giving up seats etc.....

standards appear to be slipping.

Statistics show that 90% of the population supports organ donation but only 22% of us have actually signed the National Organ Donor Register and even less have told their loved ones of their wishes regarding being an organ donor (which is crucial as it is your relatives that would get to make the decision for you). I would be interested in a poll asking how many people have talked to their next of kin about whether they wish to be organ donors in the event of their deaths (and/or whether they have signed the register).

Sorry to bring up the issue again! I'm sure you can appreciate that having a very special friend who is only 22 and who has just a 50% chance of making it due to the chronic shortage of donors, makes it very important to me
