Anyone know a toaster which fits Warburton's bread

Options
Hi, Anyone know where I can get a toaster, preferably 4 slice, which fits Warburton's bread? About an inch sticks out of the toaster we have at the moment so I have to turn it half way through with the inevitable consequences that the toast is sometimes burnt in the middle!

There is a Tefal on half price at Currys. Anyone know if it is suitable?

That link doesn't seem to work, but we have a Tefal Avanti Deluxe & it's good for thick large slices. It's also very funky in design. ;D

Amazing how few toasters take warbies bread.

My in-laws cut a piece of cardboard the size of the bread and tried it out in the stores, not sure which model they settled on though.

Like Carol h suggested, I did a similar thing when buying a toaster recently. I measured a typical slice (height, length and width) and took a tape measure into the Argos store.

They let me look at several models before choosing the model which fitted the measurements. I bought the Breville 4 slice (cat no 422/1036) toaster at £17.99, it works a treat.

I would have to say, don't buy Warbuton's bread! For several years we have bought Warburton's Seeded Batch, as although more expensive that some it tasted good.

But then a couple of weeks ago we read an article in the national press, which highlighted the fact that it has almost 10% fat in it :o YUCK.

We checked the packaging and there it was, over 9g of fat per 100g, and we are disgusted that we had been eating this regularly for such a long time.

The Tefal Avanti is very good and can cope with most things you'd want to toast. Almost manages the full Warburton's slice, certainly better than our previous one.

We have a 4 slice Russell Hobs toaster and we use warburtons Thick White for toast. Sorry I can't tell you the model number as it isn't on the side and it is about 4 years old.

Ever thought of saving money by using a knife to trim the bread to size?

Unfortunately, I can't think of a way of reattaching the crusts, but then they only make your hair curly anyway...at least that's what my gran used to say.

I turn Warbies (best bread EVER) on it's side or use the smaller loaves.
