I tried to epen the variable web saver online which you have to have before you can get the 7% 3 month one. But when doing this I just got an error message at the end of my application, anyone else encountered the same?

Mine went through with no problems last week - maybe a system problem?

You have to open and fund the variable rate web saver with the minimum deposit amount before you can open a fixed-rate option.

From memory it took three days.

I did exactly the same from my HSBC account - the transfers took a couple of hours on average.
