i have a payment protection on my mortgage on the unemployment section of the policy it says you must be claiming job seekers allowance to claim ok i can do that but i receive a private pension and will not recieve any money from the dole does this effect my policy i am 60 years old

Yes it does. Commencing retirement benefits indicates you are retiring and not going unemployed (in the eyes of the insurer)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
