My Dell laptop will not boot up. I press the on button all that happens is a light flashes constantly. Its a Dell Vostro 1510 and it seems to have happened after windows updated this afternoon. It has vista if that helps?

That just turns it off. When i reboot it does exactly the same. Its a Dell Vostro 1510. The light that flashes is the Number lock icon. The caps lock icon light is also on as is a arrow.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Yes, sounds like flat battery - does it beep when you turn it on?
Have you tried holding down any of the PF keys when you switch it on?0 -
Remove the battery and try with just mains0
