it worries me you saying that you pay off ebay fees when you feel like it. I tried this, they still took the money twice. They told me that if a direct debit is set up, it automaticly does this, despite me paying them as much as 2 weeks before they took the money! they say they review the accounts every 2 weeks to ensure its all up to date and if you have paid twice, they put your account into posative rather then negative/oweing them money.

What I am saying is that it could be ebay taking fees. It happened to me. They dont refund asap either, they refund in 30 days. If you ask, otherwise your account just remains in credit.

Wasn't sure if you had checked and found the transaction on your paypal account but...You should be able to log on to paypal, find the transaction on the paypal account and click on it to see whats happened/who the money went to.
If you cannot find this anywhere on your paypal account, I would contact payapl, it could be that someone else has taken your details to use on another paypal account and advise them this has happened and also contact the police as this is theft. Then contact the bank as if it is theft they will pay you back the bank charges and the stolen money.

As such Paypal don't take payment for fees separately, in that you wouldn't send a separate payment for Paypal fees, only Ebay fees.
So, the payment the bank tried to take was for Paypal.
Is your Ebay account set up to take fees from Paypal or by direct debit?
If the latter then that is not what the payment was being taken for.
Do you have your Paypal account set up for bank funding?
You need to check through your Paypal account to see why they were trying to take £11.97.
Have you received a letter from your bank telling you of the charges and who the payment was to be made for?
If so, take a copy of it.
If Paypal have tried to take the money from your account for no reason then you need to let them know with a copy of the letter from your bank.

so you checked where the transaction came from, it was paypal.

You went onto your paypal account and checked to find the transaction.

Did you find the transaction on your own paypal account?

Not sure if it came from your paypal account or not. could you just verify this?

As above check the transaction log and also check your last bill within ebay. it, its unlikely it was taken for no reason will be fees or bringing the account back to regular standing? check the resolution center for closed tickets.

  • If they took the money and you have proof they dont have a leg to stand on! Send them a copy of the bank statement and they will have no choice but to send you a refund!
