Hi Toothsmith, when my daughter had her braces on she was recommended to use mouthwash by the orthodontist. I still buy it for her now (braces off ). Do you think I should save my money then as I always buy a good brand (£4 ish a bottle). Does it have no benefit at all? Would appreciate your advice.0 -
I wouldn't contradict the advice of a dentist who's actually seen your child, and recommended something for a specific reason.
I would just check how long you were supposed to use it for though. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
