Egg Account Help

""Egg Savings Account (Internet) - get 6.55% gross pa/AER variable (includes an introductory 12 month variable bonus rate of 1.80% gross pa from the date your account is opened)""

What happens if I move say £10,000 in here and move it out in 6 months (i.e if their total interest rate drops and better offers are elsewhere).

Do I still get the 1.8% bonus (I do believe the 1.8% bonus is variable as well as the total interest rate) from opening?

Or do you have to be locked in for 12 months?

TIA

Mark

It is a variable rate but with instant access. You will get the bonus rate for 12 months even if you don't use it for that long.

Althought currently I doubt you will find a better rate anytime soon.
