Hi
Seem to be going through tin openers like no ones business, had to go round to neighbour so kids could have lunch! (as unable to get lid off)
Any ideas? I am willing to pay what it takes!
Most have spent £40 already this year
Thanks

I have had one of these for 5 years and honestly haven't had a single tin not open beautifully. Bargain

Another vote for the Brabantia ones - bought our current one when we bought our first house in 1998 and its still fine now! My parents had one that went on for years as well - they may still have it in which case its getting on for 20 years old!Adventure before Dementia!0

i had the same problem- so i bought a £6 electric one at argos
which has been so so much easier , but needs a socket and electricity.

(i have a manual £3 asda silver one as backup in case of blackouts or
something)
(ps i stay away from the 'one touch' ones- i hear there are battery issues)0 -
The One Touch from lakeland (and other stores) is brilliant. Retails at around £15.0

I paid £1.50 from Ikea for one & its the best i`ve ever had.0

I know OP I can totally sympathise. I think you can't beat the original cheap stainless steel one's X0

There was one of those here when I moved in .... tried it 1001 ways, couldn't work out how to make it work. Even tried searching online for videos, but no joy.
I've always had those chunky style tin openers like the other posters have shown. I think my current one was from Asda for £4-5. The one before that was from Asda and I only binned it as I moved house and got rid of everything I owned.
The chunky ones just work, work every time and keep working.0 -

Hi
I bought a prestige one from matalan £7 I think. It's absolutely brilliant, works the same as the day I bought it, which in this house is a small miracle.0
