Savings account... Egg

Hi everyone.
I currently have £2000 to save (as its sat in a hsbc current account) after searching the site egg seems to be the best place to save this money. Is anyone with egg at the moment, how are they? any good/bad experiences? Anyone else recommend somewhere else?
There is a possibility that i will need to take roughly £500 of the £2000 out at the end of april, what are egg like with transfering money, is there a long wait?

Egg are fine and they're paying 5.5% gross for the first 6 months on their Internet Savings a/c. Withdrawals are made to a nominated current a/c by BACS; ask for a w/d online early Monday and the money should be in your c/a by Wednesday.0
