Ryanair Debit Card Charges

Ryanair sells cheap flights ok, but even though their flights are at good prices, they are making their money by charging £4 per person per flight sector for using a Debit or Credit card. After booking flights for 3 people we have just been charged £24 on top of the flight prices, so watch for these charges, the price may not be as cheap as it seems.

Yawn very tiring all this about ryanairs debit card charges
  • Perhaps to you but not to newbies :)

The only way round the debit card charges are to use an Electron card or you have to pay £4 per person per journey. Alternatively you can buy a Gift Voucher and use that but minimum gift voucher is £25 and multiples thereof.

  • Visa Electron is what you need. Pay nothing!

It's people like you who subsidise people like me, though :)

I still can't see how even with these charges people are moaning?

don't like it, don't book it. like it, book it.

once everyone has an electron card, why don't we all club together and fly for free, drive ryanair out of business, stifle competition and watch prices rocket.

    great idea.
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

These are the same type of half wits that moan after they've bought something on eBay for 99p plus £5 postage and the sellers put a 50p stamp on it. If you're happy with the total outlay then there's no issue

I admit that when I first saw this thread I thought 'oh not another Ryanair rip off thread'! However I do have some sympathy with all these people as I too remember making the same error some time back.
I think that the main reason for the annoyance is not the actual card charges but the way in which they are added to the total price AFTER you have been given a total to be charged for your booking.
If they were more upfront with the charges at least people could make an informed decision. They are just counting on people making that error and not reading the small print.
