Monday!!

is going to be the 1st day of the rest of my life!!!
  • I am starting afresh, its payday on Monday and have set up a budget that im determined to stick religiously too
  • Im quitting smoking too. My new partner doesnt smoke and it must be awful for him to kiss an ashtray!
  • I have set myself a budget of £5 a week. The only thing i ever buy is a pack of chewing gum at 33p a day which scared me £120 a year on chewy, no wonder my dentist has a heart attack. As I will no longer will be smoking im going to carry on buying the chewy to help me for the time being as its nothing compared to the £800 a year i spend on cigs
  • I am going to pay all my bills this month, and will not have 1 silent phone call off a credit card (hopefully)
  • My spending diary is all ready to be written in
So if i stick to the budget i will have £50 to make an overpayment on a credit card.

Peoples stories on here have inspired me so a big thankyou to everyone!

Best of luck and please remember to keep us posted on how well you are doing.

Have you seen the payment a day challenge? It might be worth having a look at that. Just paying £1 per day off a credit card is a great feeling.

  • been naughty already today

I have a job interview at 2pm today and smoked 1 cig today to try and battle the nerves, i have no more cigs and no lighter, i have even take the car cig lighter out to not tempt me

I have cravings for lucozade original and bought a bottle this morning and a packet of chewy, not good on a £5 budget, spent £1.30 already.

Paying money off 2 credit cards today which is the 1st time in a while i'll be doin it on payday

Had to pay £25 of works xmas party, didnt mind paying that as all drinks are free on the night and i have a lift so cheap night out.

thanks for the idea of putting the savings in the sig, all done!
