Hi there, just signed up. I am looking for advice on electric central heating. I live in Dundee, Scotland and have Storage Heaters which are rubbish. Gas in not an option as no supply into street. Should I install Wet Heating, I have a one bed flat. Hope someone can help, cheers

Welcome to the forum.
Loads of threads on this if you do a search in the 'fuel and other heating' forum.
The bottom line is that heating with daytime electricity is still by a long way the most expensive way to heat a property
For all it's faults storage heating is much cheaper, and on Economy 7 you get cheap hot water.
There are loads of 'odd' tariffs available in Scotland that are not available in England e.g daytime boosts. Perhaps one of those might suit?0 -
Thanks, will check out posts0

I have moved from gas to all electric heating.
I have tried oil filled radiators and settled on convector heaters.
Depending on you're lifestyle depends on you're heating source. I thought of E7 but decided on-demand heating. I feel I have made the right choice on a number of factors. Convector heaters produce instant heat. If you get one with the thermostat it allows you to "set and forgot". No matter if you get in on a regular schedule or variable, just come in and switch the thermostat up, within half an hour you'll have a warm room.0
