Is it easy to changre the CD/DVD drive on a laptop? I don't have any writing capability and I've seen a DVD burner on Scan for £59 which looks like good value. (Pioneer DVR-K05 Slimline Slot Loading x8x8 DVD + -R and x4 Dual Layer (Not Hoojum Compatible)
I tried undoing all the screws I could find on the base but it wouldn't come out. Can't find the manual in my drawer or on-line so some advice would be appreciated..

It can be quite tricky as you have to take the lappy completely apart
to get to the cradle/carriage, your better off getting an external drive.0 -

....but that's probably v. good advice as I already have one in my desktop so I'd actually only need a USB caddy which I'm guessing will be cheaper than £600
