Does anyone have a favourite as I'm struggling....
I live in France so I have the choice from Lidls, Aldi's, Pampers or Huggies or local supermarkets own brands Carrefoure or Leclerc....
My daughter is in size 6 Huggies nappies but my local stores don't stock them, and am having trouble finding a nappy that doesn't leak. If I use Pampers during the day we have to change them everytime she does a wee as they cause her to come up with a rash (thrush) and it's really painful for her so Sudocreme is always in use.
Can anyone else give me any suggestions.
Many thanks in advance
Sarah

Lidl nappies have a good reputation? I bought some of the pull ups recently for DS.
Otherwise I think it's a case of trial and error - I've not had a nappy leak since DS was tiny, regardless of the brand. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
I'll have a go with Lidls - thanks for that x0

i use aldi nappies through the night for my dd and they work quite well, on the odd occassion she has a leak but she also drinks a pint of water through the night:T started comping 2009:T0

Aldi and Lidl's are next door to each other over here, and I've got to nip into town tomorrow so I'll go and get a pack of each and go from there.
Thanks for your help x0 -
Aldi's nappies are fine for my three year old through the night (and they're pretty heavy in the morning but no leaks)
BTW, for the nappy rash, if you are in France you could ask the pharmacist for Bepanthol or Mytosil - both are excellent bottom creams, although the mytosil smells slightly of fish (it contains a vitamin e derivative whish is good for the skin but a little wiffy!)0 -
Well I've been shopping this morning and I've purchased both Aldi and Lidl's and going to try them tonight and tomorrow night and I'll be able to post my verdict. One thing I did find was that in both cases she fits into the size 5 rather than the 6's in Huggies.
Thank you for your tip biscotte, I've actually got Bepanthol (I got it as a freebie) so may try that too.
Thank you to everyone for your help0 -
I vote for the lidl pull-ups too. Tried others (Pampers, Huggies, environmentally friendly carp) and found lidl ones to be the best for night time. The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0

Would you consider using cloth nappies? My daughter has a latex allergy and can't cope with disposable nappies at all so I now have both my toddlers in cloth. It can be a bit of a faff, but it's so much cheaper!0

Another vote for Lidl pull ups. Both my toddlers are in their size 6 pull ups and (touch wood) I haven't had a leaky one yet. I think they are called 'Toujours'.↑ Things I wouldn't say to your face

To be honest I looked into terry nappies before she was born but it was so expensive to start off so I dismissed it but now I wished I'd gone for it as it would have saved me money in the long run by now I'm sure.
Only thing is now she's started using potty during day so I don't think it'll be cost effective to make the initial purchase. As I'm hoping she wont be in them much longer but thanks for the suggestion.
So far I used a Lidl's nappy last night and all I can say is I'm sold on Lidl's nappies so far.... they held in loads0
