firewall won't let me connect to the internet

(ME, PC dummy again)

I have tried them all and keep having the same problems, It says, Can't find server.
I have Kerio now although it's disabled at the moment so I can ask advice.

can I change a setting somewhere so I can connect and still be protected?

Please help in simple form.

hi ya sounds like the firewall has been corrupted you could try uninstalling it and then do a fresh install or try another product like zone alarm.
if you are running xp then you can use windows firewall but its not that good but will be ok in short term.
to enable
right click my network
select properties
select advance
tick windows firewall

You may have inadverntantly said no to network access, Windows is a bit
rubbish as a firewall so dont rely on it for too long or at all.

Hi, still stuck without a firewall, I have read the kerio instructions, nothing stands out on trying to fix internet problems, I have tried various ticks in different boxes on kerio but it still wont find server, but I have no problems connecting once I disable the firewall. It was the same with zone alarm and sygate just couldn't get on the internet. The instructions did say to install kerio after AVG which I hadn't done, so I uninstalled both AVG and kerio and reinstalled again, this still made no difference. Is there anything else I can try
