I'd read some comparative reviews in magazines in the newsagents to get a feel for what the technology is like, prices, and which are considered better than others. They test in groups so can made better informed judgements.

If the OP is looking for a 19-20" LCD set why recommend a 42" Plasma?
To the OP it may be worth having a look on https://www.trustedreviews.co.uk they review a lot of TV'sIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
From Which top 4 portable LCDs, two were 20":
Sony Bravia KDL-20S3000
Sony Bravia KDL-20B4050
The other two were 23" and one of them was Sony.Charlie0 -
go for samsung mate!
best screen around for miles
whatever you go for get a "matte" screen as you dont get any picture glare in the daytime, i know most samsung screens are the "matte" type and i have a few, which are excellent!0 -

It depends on your budget, really. If the Asda one is your approx budget, then it's not a bad offer, plus if you don't like it you can take it back to the store. If you can afford a bit more then I would recommend the Sony KDL20S3000 as already mentioned. You can get them for £289 with 5 year warranty from John Lewis : http://www.johnlewis.com/230445978/Product.aspx - Hope this helps.0 -
Yes the Sony KDL2053000 from John Lewis looks a very good deal the problem is it says on the advertisment that they are out of stock shoud i double check to be sue that they are out of stock in John Lewis ?0
