Contents insurance in shared accomoation - advice?

Hi,
I live in rented accomodation that I share with 4 others. I would like to insure my contents however I am finding that many insurers do not do insure if you live in shared accomodation.
Can anyone reccommend me an insurer that does and for a reasonable rate?

Endsleigh used to do this so are worth a try. I found that most other insurers will only insure you if you have a locked door to your room and your content are basically kept in it.0

my DD had the same problem over the last 3 yrs. she couldnt get anyone to insure her property.
i suspect that even if you find a company, the premiums will be huge. to match the risk!Get some gorm.0 -
Endsleigh are student specialists and when I had the insurance it was around £120 for the year.0
