Is the an icon near the clock you can double click - hover over each one to see if there is. Else it'll be somewhere in the control panel!

I have a Toshiba laptop, if you right click on the touchpad icon on the taskbar the option to disable tapping comes up.

I followed the advice given, keep my hands away from the touchpad, and also when typing a document disable on the taskbar. I had somehow removed the icon, which is why I couldn't find it !!!!! THanx again.
