Thanx for your help, and I will try the various options, and try to keep my hands away from the touchpad.
There will definitely be an option to disable tapping whilst typing.
Is the an icon near the clock you can double click - hover over each one to see if there is. Else it'll be somewhere in the control panel!

I have a Toshiba laptop, if you right click on the touchpad icon on the taskbar the option to disable tapping comes up.0

I followed the advice given, keep my hands away from the touchpad, and also when typing a document disable on the taskbar. I had somehow removed the icon, which is why I couldn't find it !!!!! THanx again.0
