Well done you cleared all yours - did you go and party like mad when you were debt free?? I am plannning a holiday somewhere gorgeous !£35K+ debt at its worst

Katgoddess wrote:Is the Dell Finance like a store card where you can pay off as much as you can each month? Or is it a fixed amount loan that is direct debited over a fixed number of months? If it's a loan, the interest over the period has already been taken into account when they decided how much you pay them each month so the amount you owe won't get any worse. Therefore if you wanted to concentrate on other debt first you can. Although at 29.9% if you can pay it off early do so. I hope someone will correct me if I have got this wrong.
Hi ya, its a PC loan and you're right!!! although I checked and there isn't a penalty - yah!!- they did work out the interest in advance and it would be around £750 in total but they said that if I pay it off before Jan 5 they will "sell" me it for £527. I worked out that means I have only paid about £20 in interest for the year so all in all that's good....!! And obviously saved over £200!
You're also right about the staying in more - I aim to detox financially and socially in Jan and should save heaps !! Not to mention feel less hungover - !! :xmassign:£35K+ debt at its worst

You don't need to detox socially completely. Just invite people round for a few drinks, a DVD, a meal, or to just scoff loads of chocs. Would still be cheaper than £50 a week.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

To be honest, my spending habits havent changed since I've become debt free, my first payday at the middle of November was the first without debt repayments, and ive got just under a £1,000 left (which I am annoyed at to be honest because I wanted to save a round £1,000 Grrrrr!!), and I havent treated myself to anything as such, but because I want to go travelling I just see it as every extra ££ I spend that I dont need to, is keeping me further away from going.
I had to buy lunch today and that almost killed me - ive gone from one extreme to the other :0)0
