Wink Bingo problems

Options
Hi,

First, sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.

My partner and I have accounts with Wink Bingo. Both of us use my bank account to play as I am the only one with a bank account.

Today I wanted to make a small deposit into my account but my card had expired. I couldn't remove my old card details so I messaged the live help desk with my problem.

I was told all my accounts had been closed as I had numerous accounts. I explained that me and my partner were the only people that had accounts and we had one each. (Both have a current balance - one has £60 in)

I was then told I had 10's of accounts and after a long argument was given the user names

and apparently there was loads more! I was also told that I had been flagged by their fraud team and "they have all the proofs and reasons to ban you. so please stop setting up accounts as you could be banned on the whole net work"!!!!

The whole tone of the conversation was demeaning and I feel I have been ripped off.
What are your thoughts on this and how should I proceed? Obviously I do not want to make a deposit now, but I would like my balance back in my account and an apology. :(

  • Well firstly you need to pop off to the appropriate forum and I don't know what it is!

It's clear that you need to identify where these accusations have come from. Is it based on IP address, home address, telephone number.. bank account?

Are you absolutely certain there is no-one in the household who could've made these accounts? It's usually IP based, so you need to quiz your husband too (just in case! worse has happened!)

If you're certain that there is no way anyone in your household has made these accounts, then you need to firstly call them and explain calmly why you think there may have been a mistake made by the company. Advise that you are prepared to go through any validation procedure etc and see what happens.

I asked this question and was ignored.

I am the husband!! (Ashamed, but I play bingo too lol) and the only other person who lives here is 9 years old lol

Thanks, I will call them in the morning.

Thanks for the help. Grrrrr I am so angry!
  • Nothing wrong with being the husband!

Have you quizzed your wife? Partners have been known to hide gambling habits. I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but since coming to this forum I've read plenty and if it has indeed been decided by IP address then you need to tread carefully.

Hope you take this in the vein it was intended :)
