Off to South Wales on Saturday for half term hols. Can anyone recommend some good days out or places to visit. Have 2 boys 10 & 14.

Are you travelling around South Wales, or just in one particular area? Most of the kids I teach rave about the Dr Who exhibition & Techniquest in Cardiff Bay. And of course there's Oakwood theme park if you're down West Wales.

The scenery if pretty darn good too if you like walking - the Brecon Beacons, Gower, and Pembrokeshire coastline in particular, and, like all national museums in Wales - it's free!

I was going to say Oakwood (if it hasn't closed for the season) but others already did! In that area there is also a bowling alley and amusements place with a 'Crystal Maze' thing you can do. Great for wet weather and the Crystal Maze was fun.
