Barker and Stonehouse has a clearance section - on the tabs on the home page.

( then click on the nearest show room )
Depending where you live som eof the stores have a variety of leather sofas on clearance- they are in store ready to collect and i am sure you would be able to negotiate with manager.0 -
Ikea do nice leather sofas - not sure of the price though.0

Some sofa companies are teetering on the edge-don't forget to pay by credit card0

Do not buy from DFS. We thought we were getting a good deal with their interest free but the sofa will not last as long as the interest free agreement.
We have had our sofa 6 months and on arrival the connectors didn't fit onto the corner part and had to be wedged in with cardboard by some bloke who came out from DFS ! The corner part squeaks and all the cushions are sinking. I am going to have to call them out to refill the cushions and sort the squeak from the frame. Very poor wear on a 2 grand sofa in 6 months. Never ever had a new sofa before, always had second hand from friends/family - should have stuck with that.
Buy the very best you can afford but do not buy from DFS and be drawn in by the year round half price sales they appear to have or the interest free deals.0 -

We saw the Ikea sofas after we ordered ours from DFS and were kicking ourselves as they were better prices and looked lovely. Can't remember the prices either but better than DFS I'm sure, try the Ikea website. We could have got a much nicer one for half the price and they don't try to flog you a really expensive leather care kit for 200 quid which is a few sachets in a box like DFS. Don't the Ikea sofas come with a guarantee for so many years against faults, etc?0 -
land of leather do a nice decent sized suite for between 500-700 pounds
very comfortable and great prices
hope this helps x:cool:0 -
There`s a rumour going around that land of leather are struggling .0

There are some nice ones in Land of Leather at the mo, ours is 5 years old from there and still looks good.
I would pay with a credit card though, just for some protection in this current climate.
