in Credit cards
I currently have a Halifax One card with a balance of £0. And a Virgin card with £4800 at 0%, this ends on Feb 1st 06.
HSBC have offered me their card at 0% for 9 months but only with £3500 allowed to BT (no fee), which i will sign and post as soon as it gets here.
Do you think i will be able to get another 0% card to BT in Jan / Feb for the remaining £1300 ?
And should i cancel the Halifax card and the Virgin card when the 0% runs out ?
Cheers :rudolf:

Impossible question to answer! Although £1,300 is not a lot is it?Viz wrote:Do you think i will be able to get another 0% card to BT in Jan / Feb for the remaining £1300 ?
Cancel Halifax ASAP to free up some available credit to maximise your chances of acceptance/reasonable credit limit when you make your next application.Viz wrote:And should i cancel the Halifax card and the Virgin card when the 0% runs out ?
Call Virgin to cancel when you've cleared the balance. Sometimes they will make you an offer to stay. If they don't close it down.0 -
My main concern was the affect on my credit rating with the cancellations and applications.Never buy a stupid dwarf -
