hi guys
i was advised by payplan last year that the government suggested guideline for housekeeping (two adults) was £320. i put 250 on my income sheet but they said i had to use government figures!!! now one of my creditors is questioning the amount on my income and expenditure sheet. i only asked payplans advice and have set up payment plans myself. does anyone know the correct figure.
thanks

Is this for BR? or an IVA?
The guidelines for BR is £380/400BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
hi its neither at moment, just for the expenses list for my creditors of my monthly outgoings0

Have you considered BR? Payplan are stringent to be honest with you and stick to the rules, I know I was with them I am now however Bankrupt, and boy I am so much happier today.. only did it yesterday.
I know you are trying to cope with the creditors alone, some wont play ball however as I learnt when I tried hence the IVA.Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -
I have my appointment at the court on the 5th November! Is there anywhere that I can get the bankrupcy living expenses guidelines, I am a single parent with one child. I have been on a DMP for the last three years but getting nowhere fast so decided to file for BR. I have been told that the allowable expenses for BR are more lenient than those used by the CCCS on a DMP0

That sounds a bit strange , both when in an IVA and when BR I was allowed that amount just for me - have you made it clear you're a single parent and there is not a partner who is also contributing to the household? Have you included all expenses for 2 people in your calculations - clothes, dentist fees, prescription charges, travel costs...0

Hi,
We're doing OH's SOA at the moment, and are using the figures suggested on this forum. I didn't know there were any "official" ones! blokes 2, I guess you could try £300 - that's what we're putting for 2 adults and a cat. The OR might reduce it tho.
Tiger - is £380 - £400 the figure for 2 adults in BR?? I thought it was lower! Might have to revise ours upwards!
Scaredsoon, have a look at some of the SOAs on here and take a guide from them. Rylynn's is around somewhere - she's a single mum so housekeeping should be similar-ish. You're right - the allowable expenses do seem to be more lenient for BR than for a DMP.
Take care, CBx0 -
For BR http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/DocumentLibrary/Policy/Excel/Household%20Expenditur.xls
Out of date and as it is based on the national average 2006-2007, so is does not apply unless you are MR or Mrs average, and due to the cost of living going up so much, it is not very acurate anymoreThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
Just one thing on MY SOA, I pay for almost all mums food as well as mine and my 14 year olds. She only buys shampoo, personal stuff and any item for her being diabetic. So mine is not just me and child really. I think mine said £400.
For me and son, clothes was put in as £100. The rest I think is almost all bills that I have to pay and can prove with the bills themselves.
It is around will link you to it tomorrow. Nite all. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0
