Hi
My mum is 67 and still has a mortgage to pay, currently she is working but has just been diagnosed with macular degeneration and her sight is failing quite rapidly, this makes it unsafe for her to carry on her work,(as a cook).
She has some private pensions and a state pension, does anyone know how much support she would get towards the mortgage payments if she stopped working ? I have been on entitled to .org but it comes up with a really small amount on a £45k mortage, i think it came up with £22 per week which would not go anywhere near paying the mortgage
any help appreciated thanks

What savings does she have?
What is mortgage payment?
What figures did you put in to get £22 a week?

They will only help with the interest on the mortgage, not the whole payment.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0
