Will I be able to pay money into my account over the counter until my new card arrives? Thanks for any replies.

I would imagine so. Who do you bank with? most places have the paying in slips where you put account number, sort code etc. and name, no use of card. However I can only say this for HSBC and Lloyds as I know they do this!0

It depends what bank, but you should be fine. Most banks have those paying in slips, which you can fill in yourself. If not, go along with a statement (for the details) and some ID and I'm sure they'd do it for you. It's only when money is coming out they seem to have a problem!...I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

Of course, how do you think things worked before plastic cards. You can even pay into someone else's account and you wouldn't have their card would you. Take your sort code and a/c number with you.0

Strangely my statements only have the sort code on them, Oh also it is a local building society (The Cumberland) not a bank as i mistakenly typed. Thanks for the replies. i will see what they have to say tomorrow. From September 2008 - Wepromiseto £133.19, Greasypalm £46.16, Quidco £519.78, Cashback Kings £74.54. Vouchers £31.00. myhpf £21.03
