I would imagine so. Who do you bank with? most places have the paying in slips where you put account number, sort code etc. and name, no use of card. However I can only say this for HSBC and Lloyds as I know they do this!
  • It depends what bank, but you should be fine. Most banks have those paying in slips, which you can fill in yourself. If not, go along with a statement (for the details) and some ID and I'm sure they'd do it for you. It's only when money is coming out they seem to have a problem!

  • Of course, how do you think things worked before plastic cards. You can even pay into someone else's account and you wouldn't have their card would you. Take your sort code and a/c number with you.
  • Strangely my statements only have the sort code on them, Oh also it is a local building society (The Cumberland) not a bank as i mistakenly typed. Thanks for the replies. i will see what they have to say tomorrow.
