No you'll need a MS (Memory Stick Pro Duo) card not a standard SD.
These are somewhat more expensive (typically about £50 for a 1Gb).0 -
You'll only need a 1gb card if he plans on :
a) using it as an mp3 player
b) using it to watch video clips/movies
c) using it to store photos
d) using it for homebrew software
e) using it to play games from the memory stick
If not then a 128/256mb would be sufficient for just storing game saves.
Dont buy a memory stick (Sandisk are the best) from the high street they are almost half price on the internet.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

SB, he will be watching videos for it and will use it as an MP3 so will need the 1gb, not sure what you mean about the Sandisk and Memory sticks though, are you saying the Sandisk SD cards will fit or do Sandisk do a clone of the Sony memory stick?0

Memory stick duo one of those little one's by sony or sandisk. If you do get a 1gb then you might find this handy http://www.download.com/Xilisoft-PSP-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10451998.html?tag=lst-0-1MDUK wrote:SB, he will be watching videos for it and will use it as an MP3 so will need the 1gb, not sure what you mean about the Sandisk and Memory sticks though, are you saying the Sandisk SD cards will fit or do Sandisk do a clone of the Sony memory stick?0 -
Sandisk do a memory stick duo (SD cards will not fit) just like the Sony one, they are more reliable and have faster access times. Plus they cannot be faked i.e. some Sony 1gb ones for sale on ebay have been found to have 256mb or less memory even though it says 1gb on the casing.Never argue with an idiot.
