How to sell on E-Bay???????

I'm registered on E-bay but have only ever bought before. Can anyone help me, in simple, plain English please?
I have a digital camera, still in its box with a USB port. Having taken the photo of item I'm selling how do I transfer it to my PC & then how do I transfer the photo to use it on E-bay's website?
Any offers of help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

You need to read the manual of your camera to see how to transfer the picture!

First you'll need to connect the cable from the camera to the PCs USB port.

Now it'll either be taking it directly off the camera, (viewing My Camera in My Computer to see the images on the camera card) or using software "browsers" that came with the camera to get the image onto the computer - which is the more usual approach - but every camera is different - which is why you need to read the manual for your camera and the software which came with it, which must be installed.

For eBay, all the advice you need is on their step by step selling tutorials, online.

You'll need a Seller account and usually a PayPal account to sell on eBay.

Standard eBay images should be normally 400x300 pixels, but if you upload a larger one, I believe it will resize it. Click sell and list your item, you'll follow lots of wizards to enter details etc. It's long winded for a new user, but straightforward.
  • Thanks very much for info.
I do know my photos are taken directly from my camera. Haven't installed software yet but I know how to as I had to do it for my printer/scanner.
Many thanks for speedy & clear reply
