Quidco and LLoyds cashback problem

Has anyone else had a problem with these 2 - I bought a buildings and contents policy through Quidco with a £120 cashback - it did not specify or exclude any particular policy but now Quidco are blaming LLoyds and saying that the policy I have isnt part of the cashback. This has been going on for months now and they keep closing the ticket so I reopen another but its so unfair. They have now changed the link information to say it has exemptions to poicies but it didnt when I bought mine but I cant prove it. any ideas or suggestions? pending my latest reply to them saying that they should each pay half the cashback as good customer service. not happy bunny and its raining

I was doing my home insurance renewal in early September and was quite interested in LTSB's "over 50's" policy which they were advertising in the press.
When I went through Quidco I noticed that the LTSB page, before you click through, stated [and still does]:
Builings insurance, contents insurance, and home insurance applies to Home Options only.
Clicking on this link will take you through to Lloyds TSB Home Options household insurance. Cashback is only available on Home Options. It is not payable on our Personal Home Plan or Home Solutions household insurance products.
I've added the bold but that proviso, or something very similar, has certainly been on the Quidco site since 1st or 2nd of September and maybe befored that for all I know.

Sorry but if it wasn't a Home Options policy I think you've had it!
  • thank you for replies, just to clarify I took my policy out months ago and have been pursuing it since around July-ish. When I did the deed thro Quidco etc there was no such proviso re which policy etc (unlike now) - ANYWAY I wanted to share my news - I am very very very very happy to say that today Quidco have agreed to pay me my £120 and it shows it is worth following it thro when you know you are right - I feel that LLoyds is partially to blame and a bit naughty too as they benefitted from the business but I have noticed other people having problems and they should keep going if you know your facts and rights - its too much money to give up - I shall be smiling big time all week now!!! :T :j
