Keep an eye on the newspaper thread (in the discounts forum) esp at weekends. Recently there have been a few cheap/free energy saving devices to send away for. Lot cheaper than in the shops. We're waiting for an 'owl' and 2 extension lead things for the total price of about £10-12 including the price of the papers.(am now running round every 10 mins switching things off at the mains

The immersion heater can be really hard on the electricity - we have one in our office, along with Economy 7 heating and our bill is a nightmare. We're changing to gas very soon.
Lidl have remote control socket sets on their specials at the moment which might be handy for getting to awkward plugs etc.

I'm not sure if they are good value but they look handy.0 -
I just got mine in - direct debit increase from £28 per month to £60 per month! Was going to ring them as I am now going back to work after 9 months maternity leave, so the past 3 bills are not reflective of the next 3 bills - I hope! Might suggest about £50 to them.
Same here, from £33 a month and they where looking £55 a month , talked them down to £48, with a review in 6months time, the mrs was off on maternity and is now back to work.0
