I saw a 3 bed semi in one of the windows of an EA in muswell hill for 259 the other day.

Quite nice it was too. I like MH , but just wish it had a tube station.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

What surprised me about London houses (I've watched too many house programmes) was the lack of parking and gardens. I wouldn't pay 200k for a mid-terrace/no parking/no garden yet on one these programmes houses like that were 650k. I couldn't believe it. Imagine paying 650k and not being able to park! gutted

Supply and demand innit. You might be able to build a few more houses on the edge of Tunbridge Wells or Harrogate but you can't extend Clerkenwell as Islington gets in the way.

    Really?!!!! Which road?

    Which agent?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Oooh is it listed on any of the house selling websites?

Yes, I agree the lack of tube station makes it a bit more difficult to get to and from though but you do have Highgate and East Finchley a 10 minute bus ride away.

The average wage in London must be about £100K and that's just to afford a one -bedroom flat. It's completely mad. It's a wonder there's not riots in the streets

The average wage is £100k? Ah did you mean, "would have to be £100k"

Thats the problem isnt it - you enter a postcode for say Blackheath and up comes what looks fab buys until you use the mapping and its Kidbrooke or Lewisham in reality!
