Did I read in a post somewhere that you can open an account just before going BR, as long as you leave it empty?:wall:0

Yes, you can do that, you should get to keep it if it's Co-op.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I applied for a Barclays Cash Account on 24 October and haven't heard anything from them, so I decided to ring them up. Barclays said that they had a 3 week backlog of applications and my application had not been looked at yet. I already have a Co-op Cashminder account, so not that fussed. However, if anyone is thinking of opening a Barclays account, it may be better to apply to Co-op as well. The Co-op have been very good and the application process was quite easy. I paid cash (housekeeping money) into my Cashminder account yesterday through the post office and it showed up on my account straight away, which I was very pleased with.0
