Probably a local thing then as everything should have a product code, if it doesn't have a code on the receipt it means they are old stock that isn't on their database any more so they have probably found them when doing a stock take and just selling them off.

Shame as they would be ideal to mix with regular bulbs to reduce the amount of electricity used, and like you say at £2.50 each its a good deal even if they are only 20 LED's.

Found them !

Went to our local and they had promotional displays, so they must be a new product as a special deal. 4 individual boxes wrapped in cellophane.

Seem to be bright enough, considering I have 8 of them I have a mix of LED's and normal bulbs now to reduce electricity consumption.
